CryoFinT Overview

CryoFin was the first product line introduced in 1996, offering a unique solution for freezing and thawing of large volumes of liquid formulated biopharmaceutical products under optimal controlled conditions. The heart of the CryoFin system is the CryoVessel, stainless steel reusable vessels specially designed to minimize the negative effects of freezing of large volumes. The CryoVessel volume is divided in compartments by radial plates or fins, which give the name to the system.

A Thermal Control Unit, CryoTrol and an agitation unit or CryoMixer used during thawing processes, completes the CryoFin system. An specially designed insulated shipping container is also available for transporting frozen products in the CryoVessel. This CryoPod container maintains subzero temperatures for several days.

CryoFinT Benefits

Flexibility: by allowing to decouple operations at any stage of production and permitting the long term storage and shipping of frozen intermediate and bulk product. Stockpiling strategic intermediate or storing WIP adds flexibility to the production capacity, which translate into more effective production schedules.

Validation: CryoFin provides controlled, reproducible and scalable freeze-thaw processed easy to validate under current regulatory demands. CryoFin system is designed to meet all the requirements for installation under cGMP environments.

Scalability: CryoFin technology is fully scalable from CryoPilot at 30 ml to CryoVessel at 500 L. CryoFin offers the complete scale-up, scale-down solutions with robust and reproducible Freeze-Thaw cycles.
